Catherine is a bright and hopeful eight-year-old girl from Shinyanga, Tanzania, who has shown remarkable resilience from a very young age. After being placed in her grandfather’s care at the age of two when her parents left, Catherine found a new opportunity for growth and education when she arrived at Camp Joshua a little over a year ago. Despite her challenging early circumstances, she maintains a sweet and happy disposition, with dreams of becoming a doctor in the future. Her aspiration to potentially work at Golden Grace Medical Center, one of LOHADA’s many programs, reflects her compassionate spirit and desire to give back to her community.
