Daniel is a thirteen-year-old student at Camp Joshua, from the town of Karatu in northern Tanzania. As the youngest of six children, with three sisters and two brothers, he represents the type of student that LOHADA’s Camp Joshua Christian School supports – children from challenging backgrounds who are given opportunities for education. At Camp Joshua, Daniel is pursuing his academic goals while nurturing his passion for football (soccer). Despite his young age, he demonstrates a strong commitment to learning, particularly excelling in science and showing a love for reading during his free time. The school provides him with a comprehensive education that includes subjects like mathematics, social studies, English, Swahili, computers, science, and art, giving him a solid foundation for his future aspirations. Daniel’s dream of becoming a professional football (soccer)er reflects the holistic approach of Camp Joshua, which not only focuses on academic excellence but also encourages students to pursue their personal passions. With the school’s supportive environment, where 90-95 percent of students pass their National Exams, Daniel has a promising path ahead to potentially achieve both his academic and athletic goals.
