The school’s security wall serves as a barrier to thieves, animals and potential harm for our children. It also keeps children, especially young ones, securely on the school grounds. Having a strong wall gives LOHADA staff and children peace of mind.
But during recent inspections, officials determined that the wall must be reconstructed. Built in 2011 by volunteers Monica and Colin Smyth, the wall has protected children for almost 15 years. Now, the base needs to be rebuilt and widened at the base to make it more stable.
Estimates for a new wall around the entire compound are $21,000 U.S.
