Paulo is a four-year-old boy from Shinyanga, Tanzania, who faces significant challenges in his young life. He is the middle child among three brothers, all born to the same mother but with different fathers. Unfortunately, Paulo’s upbringing has been marked by hardship; his mother struggles with alcoholism and has been diagnosed as HIV positive. This situation has led to neglect, as she often leaves her children without adequate food or care. Despite these difficulties, Paulo’s resilience shines through as he navigates a world that is often unkind and unforgiving. His story is a poignant reminder of the struggles faced by many children in similar circumstances, highlighting the urgent need for support and intervention in their lives. Camp Joshua gives him a loving stable environment in which to flourish.
