Zawadi

Living in Moshi, Tanzania with his grandparents, Zawadi is a ten-year-old boy who not only misses his parents but has also missed out on years of his education. His grandfather, who is blind and elderly, struggles to provide for the family due to lack of income. Zawadi has never had the opportunity to attend school until now, and the family often faced difficulties in securing basic necessities like food. Despite these challenges, Zawadi remains curious and eager to learn, particularly about human anatomy. He has a fondness for the color blue and is fascinated by lions. Zawadi dreams of becoming a soldier when he grows up. Like many children his age, he would be thrilled to receive a cake as a gift, a simple pleasure that’s rare in his current circumstances.
