Abriella, affectionately known as Abby, is a bright and curious 7-year-old girl living in the Unga Limited area. Despite her young age, Abby is already on a path to a brighter future thanks to her participation in LOHADA’s early childhood education program. Although she has passed the critical period of brain development that occurs before age 5, Abby is still benefiting greatly from the structured learning and play experiences provided by the program. Each day, Abby spends several hours at the nearby school, engaging in activities that stimulate her cognitive, social, and emotional growth. After her time at school, she returns home to her family, carrying with her the knowledge and skills she’s gained. Abby’s two older sisters were raised at Camp Joshua since they were about her age or younger and now work as social workers there after graduating with their degrees from university. Abby loves singing and dreams of being a teacher one day.
